How to live in DC on a very limited budget?

I am on internship that provides housing but doesn't pay much and I'm close to DuPont circle and it's really expensive. How to survive?|||You can't, unless you live in the ghetto, life in dc is expensive.|||Well just dont buy anything in dupont, take a bus to downtown dc or china town or some not so well of area and go grocery shopping there. be safe
