Don't expect employee loyalty when you stab me in the back...?

It seems like their all getting on the same bandwagen and singing the same tunes about being 'competitive'. Reduce their vacation time, give them cellphones to take on vacation, take away their benefits, steal their pension, fudge the books for the next quarter, abandon work ethics, since it's all about winning...

Now IBM, and DuPont, and a slew of other major corporations who have abandoned anything sacred, don't be surprised when your dumped for another employer?

http://money.cnn.com/2006/08/28/news/com鈥?/a>|||It's the business culture of corporate management greed.

They try to disguise their policies by claiming they must make cuts to maximize profits to satisfy the stock holders.

They rely on the basic good nature of the employees their work %26amp; desire to do a good Job.

This works for a while but sooner or later, people figure out that the demands for higher productivity, greater customer satisfaction %26amp;" more with less "are just the way upper management gets measured for their bonuses %26amp; perks.

Short term gains achieved this way benefit no one but those with

golden parachutes.

By the time the corporation shows signs of decline, they're gone

but not without a pile of money.

Ever see excercise equipment for the executive gym or high end

company cars for the execs. delivered the same day there was a layoff ?

Ever get pressured to get high marks on "no win" customer satisfaction surveys?

Union busting campaigns?

Ever get the "Quality" program rammed down your throat?

The Jack Welsh wannabees wil never understand that there can be win/ win situations where the corporation, customers, stockholders %26amp; employees all benefit from an honest days work.

Maybe someday the old boys club will wise up %26amp; listen to their customers %26amp; their greatest asset... the knowledge %26amp; skill of the

people who actually do the day to day work.
