Is Pistole's and Napolitano's Political Correctness Going to Cost US Lives this Holiday Season?

If TSA is not ready with FAST-TRACK now, where have they been for the past 10 years?

$50 Billion down the drain to pay for TSA, and it's 50,000 employees. Ten years have gone by.

The pinnacle of their attainment is to grab people's crotches while they try to get home for Thanksgiving.

OK so did the TSA 50,000 persons get off a boat from Borneo in September of this year?

Why don't we have a "look for people, not things" based system like Israel does.

Are there no telephone connections between Israel and USA?

Do the Israelis own all the the biometric ID patents in the world?

John Pistole made a huge fool of himself again today (22 November 2010) saying that TSA was not going to get into the cavity searches business because he has no evidence of prior successful bombs in body cavities.

He is a moron.

Of course TSA should do cavity searches, if necessary with surgical assistance, IN APPROPRIATE CASES, where intelligence and risk management dictate that A PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL merits a total body cavity search.

A woman's sanitary napkin is of a size and shape which is Semtex were substituted would be adequate, more than adequate to bring down a 747 Jumbo Jet. The initiator is a significant problem for the bomb builder but not insurmoutable. The device does not have to be set off by cellphone. The woman has already agreed to die. So it's just a question of an electronic watch computer chip connected to a dupont electrical detonator. The chip is 90% plastic. The backscatter is there but the image is so tiny that it can't be seen, or found. The rest of the tampon is plastic, and the semtex is sealed so no nitrogen signature is produced. This is elementary school stuff for world class bomb builders. I'm not disclosing anything here except that Pistole is an idiot.

To set off Semtex you need a pressure wave. An advanced electrical detonator, can be very small but create an adequate pressure wave to set off 2 oz of Semtex.

That kind of explosion inside of a pressurized cabin will be another Lockerbie situation.

Therefore Pistole is a moron to say that cavity searches are out.

He wants to do much too much and much too little.

He wants to feel up every kid and woman so he can show that he's politically correct.

Then, he wants to let the 19 year old Yemeni woman through, with just a pat down not a cavity search, to show that he knows nothing about security, and that his idiocy can be lethal to Americans.

Look for people not things.

10 years wasted has brought us to 2010 the year of the Borneo Savages Crotch Grabbers.

How did we get so dumb?|||While Israel has good security that is based on interviews and observation, note that:

1. They only have six airports; the US has about 16,000.

2. Their airline, El Al, only has 40 planes; at any one day in the US, there are about 30,000 commercial flights in the air.

How's about bomb-sniffing dogs at every airport and air marshals in every plane? Save money, preserve rights! Ta da.

Edit @ John F, since you don't allow any other kind of contact: The budget for TSA is $7.8 billion, with another $1 billion from the stimulus just for equipment. The average pay for a federal air marshal is about $38,000. That means there could be at least 100,000 air marshals in the air every day, with several billion left over for other equipment and programs.|||I can't support your advocacy more. If I'm looking for a white house with a green roof, why

would I pull into the drive of a red house with a rust colored roof. This is what PC is all

about. Not dealing directly with the issue for the sake of pissing off the people who actually

commit the crimes. Not all Muslims are terrorist, But sure as hell, All terrorist are muslims.

The Israelis know this and as you said. Alexander Graham Bell died a long time ago, but

before he departed left us the fning telephone. We are going to have major problems

this coming holiday at our Nations Airports.|||I seriously doubt that a few ounces of explosives would be "another Lockerbie". More like the recent idiot who as Rachel Maddow said was such an idiot that he couldn't blow up his own junk with a bomb in his underpants. Even if a half pound of modern explosives successfully went off in a passenger seat or lavatory, it'd be nasty and messy, but more a morale blow.

All along, we should have admitted that total security is unattainable, and we have to settle for some compromises. Protect ourselves at the same time as our rights and even some reasonable conveniences should be protected.

Some 40,000 departures each day. Even now, with the service over-stretched and lowering its demands on new hirings, we have barely 5% coverage of air marshalls..

I remember september '01, Frontsight offered to take any pilot through its excellent tactical pistol training (above law enforcement and military training standards) for free. Instead, on 9/15/01, the FAA passed a rule prohibiting aircrew from carrying a pocketknife... Even now, the TSA and airlines are balking at letting pilots carry. Pilots have to go through the same security as passengers? Why?

For my $.02, civilians who go through thorough pistol training should get reduced price seats, by-pass security with their whole party, and let a tired air marshall nap until another flight needs them. Police and active military frequently won't carry even though they may, because the system makes it such a hassle to do so.

Ou primary defense against hijacking (after panicked passengers tackling eachother) are the USAF, shooting down planes full of passengers. The terrorists have won.

"preserve rights"? How about affirming that we are our own government and our own neighbors and family %26amp; friends, and are all entrusted with powers of life %26amp; death each day.

Either that, or we all strip down and into issue jump-suits, get shackled into our assigned seats for the duration of the flight.
